Reconstructive surgery is used to recreate form and function to a defect that is most commonly a result of cancer. Dr Birch regularly works in conjunction with surgeons from other specialties a part of a multidisciplinary team for the best outcome for patients. Some of his favourite reconstructive procedures include upper facial reconstruction including bone, soft tissue and nerve to restore movement, breast reconstruction and lower limb reconstruction.
